Rural School Camp
We are going on camp for three days with the other rural schools. There will be 65 children.
My goal is to not to be shy of them and speak to a person so that I make a new friend.
To achieve this I will need to have courage in myself and step out of my comfort zone.
I will go and talk to them by asking them their name and where they live. Then I will tell them about who I am and where I live.
If I am playing a game with my friends I will invite them to come and join in.

Yes because they were nice and they may have been older than me but it was a bit easy but still hard. I acheived my goal of friendship becase I did get out of my comfort zone. When I was doing my group work I got to go in different pairs with different people so I got to know where they came from and what school they went to. The first day of camp I made one friend then the next day I made two. they were in my age group too and we conected very well. One of my friends called Monaca had been in my group when we were doing the Team Buildinng with whia Linette and we won most of the games that we played.

The camp was worthwhile because when we did the burma trail it was fun but I have already been on one so it was not that
cool for me but it was still fun. And I got to make new friends and we had fun in our groups.

I think it was good on camp because we did what we were ment to do and we joined with other schools that were there. It was okay because the people wre helping me because I was stuck.

I am 7.4 years in my multiplication. in the term I want to set a goal to get a score the same as my age or a little bit higher.
To do this i will need to
  • practise my 6,4 and 7 times table

  • be a bit faster in my basic facts

In division I am a 7.8 and i want to be a 8.8.

Mini Ball

On friday I played my first game of Mini Ball in 2010

Things I did well were defending the ball so the other player can not get a goal.
The thing I need to work on is moving into space so I can get the ball.

Pesentation skills

On friday we went to Mananui School to present some of the work that we have learnt. Mrs. Couper split the schools in to different groups and then they had to share what they learnt.

I think that I did well when I was speaking because I was loud enough so that my group could hear me. I also made eye contact and I was not like a robot. The thing that I needed to work on was to have some confidence. I also need to try and look at my notes and then say a sentence and then just look at it again and then say it.
